At Shemford Senior Secondary School, the school uniform reflects our values of discipline, unity, equality, and pride. Wearing the prescribed uniform encourages students to develop a sense of responsibility, belongingness, and respect for the school culture. We expect all students to attend school neatly dressed in the complete school uniform every day. Students must maintain cleanliness, proper grooming, and decorum while wearing the uniform.

Uniform Guidelines
General Instructions

• Students must wear the complete prescribed uniform on all working days and during school functions unless informed otherwise.
• The uniform should always be clean, well-ironed, and properly fitted.
• Shoes must be polished and socks should be clean.
• Students are advised to maintain proper haircuts and grooming standards.
• Fancy hairstyles, coloured hair, tattoos, nail paint, and jewellery are strictly prohibited.
• Students must carry their school ID cards daily.
• Blazers/sweaters are compulsory during winter season as prescribed by the school.

Grooming & Appearance

• Boys should maintain short and neat haircuts.
• Girls with long hair must tie their hair properly.
• Mehendi, makeup, nail extensions, and fancy accessories are not permitted.
• Only simple black hair bands/clips are allowed.
• Students must maintain personal hygiene at all times.

Important Note for Parents
Parents are requested to ensure that:

• Their ward comes to school in complete and proper uniform.
• All uniform items are labelled with the student’s name.
• Torn or faded uniforms are replaced timely.
• Students follow all uniform and grooming guidelines sincerely.

Parents may purchase the prescribed school uniform, shoes, socks, sweaters, and other accessories from any shop or vendor of their choice available in the market, provided the colour, pattern, design, and specifications match the uniform guidelines prescribed by the school.
